Dr. Naveen Jain is presently the Senior Consultant Neonatologist and Coordinator at the Department of Neonatology, Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences, Trivandrum. He is also a visiting Consultant to SCTIMST, Centre for Excellence, Trivandrum, and a Guest Faculty at the Child Development Centre, Government of Kerala. He has been an editor for many books -notably Cloherty and Stark’s Manual of Neonatal care (SAE edition 2021, Wolters Kluwer) and The development of the infant and the young child, normal and abnormal (2022, Elsevier). He has held several posts at the national level including National Coordinator for Neurodevelopment Follow up for high-risk newborns for National Neonatal Forum Annual conventions (for more than 10 years), National Faculty for Neonatal Ventilation Workshops (for more than 15 years for AIIMS and PGIMER) and Joint Zonal Coordinator (South Zone) of Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Programme Course of Indian Academy of Pediatrics and National Faculty for National Neonatology Forum. He was awarded the National Oration for the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Disability Chapter, and the Annual Oration for Masonic Children’s Hospital, Coimbatore. He is a Peer Reviewer for over 110 publications, an examiner for multiple courses, and has organized several national workshops and conferences. His wife, Dr. Neetu Gupta, is a Pediatrician and is in charge of the ER and PICU, KIMS. He has two children.
